The Pendleton Round-Up Board of Directors has taken steps to bring contestants closer to the Round-Up Grounds. The change, which will be permanent, will go into effect with this year’s rodeo.
‘We realize how important the contestants are to the success of the Round-Up,’ President Butch Thurman said. ‘The board made the decision to try and provide adequate parking on site and overflow parking within the very immediate area.’ Continue reading…

The Pendleton Round-Up, now getting ready to start it’s 98th year, has recently been inducted into the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO. The Round-Up was one of sixteen rodeos nationwide to be inducted into the prestigious institution with the class of 2008. The ceremony took place at the PRCA Hall of Fame on July 12th.

The national Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign that has swept the rodeo circuit is a resounding success in Pendleton once again it was announced today. The money — $21,807.95 — raised on Sept. 13 will benefit two local nonprofit organizations fighting breast cancer.
“We are proud of the way Pendleton rodeo fans responded to the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign,” Round-Up President Butch Thurman said. “The sea of people wearing pink dramatizes the volunteer spirit of the Round-Up.”
