The Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon is looking for a part-time box-office staff member to help us in the Box Office/Call Center with ticketing operations and customer service during regular business hours and during our ticketed events. The expected commitment will be between 15-30 hours per week during regular business hours, with possible extended hours during event times. Note that during the summer months we are open on Saturdays. You will be expected to complete a paid 3-day training event, and be available to work at all ticketed events by the Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon Box Office including days leading up to the events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sell tickets to the general public in person and over the phone from the Box Office for multiple events through our online ticket platform.
- Ability to learn and master our ticketing system platform.
- Create an exceptional experience for all guests through a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
- Memorize all ticketed events, venues, seat maps, pricing, policies and general information.
- Balance monies at end of shift with Manager/Assistant Manager
- Follow all operational policies and procedures for box office operations
- Answer all questions in-person, over the phone and emails regarding the Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon, tickets, and area information.
- Efficiently and effectively works with customers, Board members and other employees.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as typing, correspondence preparation and file maintenance.
- Help with processing purchased ticket orders, by printing, processing, and mailing out tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Applicants age 16+required; high school diploma and/or GED preferred, but not required
- Customer service experience, with the aptitude to resolve conflicts as needed
- Written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Be able to problem solve by using the provided resources.
- Ability to remain poised and professional under pressure.
- Ability to meet high standard of cleanliness and appearance
- Ability to work well with other staff members
- Demonstrated ability to display discretion and maturity
- Hand-on, real life experience to help you hone your talents in customer service, sales, event planning, and logistics.
- These are hourly positions with a pay range is dependent on experience and qualifications.
